2022 has been a very important year for UITP. We saw the return of in-person events and it was great to welcome everyone to the MENA congress, IT-Trans and SITCE, among others. We were happy to see so many people join us at these events and to see many old friends again in real life.
UITP Governance
From the Executive Board to Divisions and Committees, the UITP governance structure guarantees that the Association is managed democratically, transparently and efficiently. All bodies work together to make sure UITP addresses all topics related to sustainable urban mobility in an international context. In 2022, we hosted nine board meetings, both in-person and online.

Did you know that UITP staff members come from 24 different countries, or that they speak 42 different languages among them? By working in 13 locations around the world, we are proud to bring together such a diverse and enthusiastic group of people to help us in advancing sustainable mobility for all.
In the past year, our staff delivered 50 key publications, organised three in-person milestone conferences and exhibitions, and engaged with members and other stakeholders across +100 committees and working groups.

Celebrating Diversity & Inclusion at UITP: Diversity in motion
At UITP, we appreciate the importance of creating an environment in which all of our employees can feel valued, included and empowered to thrive in our jobs.
Diversity and inclusion is at the heart of UITP’s DNA: as a global association working to improve urban mobility worldwide, bringing together diverse perspectives allows us to unlock potential for ourselves, our sector and our communities.
We are proud to have launched the UITP’s Diversity and Inclusion statement in September 2022, aiming to unlock potential through diverse perspectives.
UITP issues a new policy on gender equality
Our new Diversity and Inclusion statement shows UITP’s commitment to creating a welcoming working environment for all. Much has already been done at UITP in the field, especially in terms of gender. UITP’s gender equality policy, which was put in place with the guidance of several leading figures from our Executive and Policy Boards, helps us to further develop opportunities and activities in this space.
